NuVant reconditions Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority hybrid bus energy storage systems
NuVant Systems Launches Revolutionary Battery Reconditioning System for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority
May 21, 2019
Crown Point, Indiana—NuVant Systems completed a successful introduction of its revolutionary nickel-metal hydride battery reconditioning with buses of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA), headquartered in Buffalo, New York. NuVant is helping the NFTA protect our natural resources and save their customers money by refurbishing NFTA hybrid bus energy storage systems. The NuVant reconditioning system restores passenger bus battery packs to their peak performance after their capacity fades from years of use. Hybrid battery reconditioning not only benefits taxpayers, the economy, and the environment, it also addresses a national security issue. The energy storage system batteries contain large amounts of rare earth elements, and over 96% of these elements are imported. Jeff Sweet, Equipment Engineer of NFT Metro Systems Inc. says, “the NuVant reconditioning program will be a game changer for the NFTA.” NuVant’s battery reconditioning equipment is extensively located on 6 continents.
NuVant Systems, Inc. is a Delaware C-corp located in Crown Point, Indiana founded in 1999.
